This week's lesson from Sankarshan Das Adhikari's Ultimate Self-realization Course, 12/31/12. Enjoy!
---------------------------------

We commonly hear the idea that living being is actually God, that he has simply forgotten that he is God, and that through the process of self-realization he will again become God. But this sort of philosophy is nonsensical. How can God ever forget that He is God? This would mean that forgetfulness is greater than God.

But God is the supreme great. There is nothing greater or powerful than Him. If forgetfulness could overpower God, this would mean that forgetfulness is God and that God is not God. So this is simply an imaginary idea that the living being is God and that all he has to do is revive his original identity as God. The actual reality is that we are all the eternal servants of God. Simply we have forgotten this fact due to our envy of the Supreme Person.

Now by the mercy of Krishna and the spiritual master we must revive our true eternal identities as the servants of God. This will enable us to enter a state of qualitative oneness with Krishna or God. Qualitative oneness means that since Krishna is eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss, we are also eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss. When we awaken our dormant Krishna consciousness, our pure love for the Supreme Person, we will attain this wonderful state of perfect harmony with Him as His pure devotee servants maintaining our individual identities so that we can always serve Him with love.

Had a moving adventure, did you? Move really far, like out of state, or what?

WELL to the other side of the county, and tho it's 40 minutes away, it is pretty different. I used to live up in the redwoods and this is like, a suburb, so it feels like a new state!

Haha when I first read this I thought you said "other side of the COUNTRY" and it's 40 minutes away. I briefly wondered which very small country you were living in.

When you say the redwoods, you mean where the redwood trees are? Like those huge ones that you can drive a car through? Wicked.

Haha only county, tho California can get pretty weird 40 minutes away. >_> And small redwood grove, the oldest one is pretty beefy and weird looking, actually. It's like a bunch of trees tied in knots around each other.

Yeah, I agree that California gets pretty weird, even 40 FEET away. :wtf:

Nice. I'd love to see that/those trees; it boggles my mind to think about how ancient trees like that have been around for longer than we can currently imagine.
